All we know is its tea. They speak only Russian, they say its tea? He has no teeth yet but he definately is a drooler. Im assuming he's teething now. He goes through 2 bibs in 2 hours. Brody also enjoys throwing up on us. Im doing laundry in the sink every day because I cant stand the smell of puke on my clothes. We have been giving him Pear juice because thats what my book says to do. Its says orange juice and grapefruit are too acidic. We tried to sneak in pureed peas out of the jar, he spit it out into Tiges face. As far as his mobility, he is walking now with just our fingertips. When we started with him this was very difficult without use advancing his legs manually. Our PT has paid off. Speaking we are still working on. He doesnt say any words or babble. He just kinda screams and whines very well. I think it is still very confusing for him to hear Russian and English at the same time. His caregivers in the room are still calling him Artur. So we dont think its going to improve until we get him home.
We put group pictures of all of the babies today. It wasnt that easy, but actually Brody was probably the best. He loves attention and has to be entertained at all times..kinda like his father, Ha

How on earth did you get all of them still at once? That is too cute. Dribbling and drooling gives him character. He seems like an awesome kid from your description. Why do they still call him his first name? I would think they would use the name you are giving him. Poor little guy. He will have his first real sense of normalcy when you get him home. It will be great then!
I have to agree with everyone, Brody gets cuter each day!! (Even with the droll, Telly!! Tige and Lisa, when Telly comes to visit, make him be on diaper duty!! Droll is nothing compared to the bottom half!!)
And you are right, his teeth should be here soon!! Tea?!?!? I'm surprise these kids aren't bouncing off the walls!! No matter what, he will be home soon enough and you can get him on a 'normal' diet.
Any new meetings? Have they set a date with the judge/court? Don't worry you'll do great!! As I said before they couldn't ask for two better parents. Good luck!! Stay healthy!!
Doug had his 1st therapy at 1st Choice today and they gave us this email address. Brody is so sweet and adorable, we are looking forward to meeting him soon. It sounds like most of the visit and formalities have been going pretty well, and we hope the rest of the trip is enjoyable for the new "family". Hope you have a safe trip back, keep in touch.
Hey guys don't worry about the speech - it will come. Hearing two languages at once won't hurt a bit - his "window" for speech is open right now and babies can much more easily learn a variety of languages all at the same time as compared to older kids and adults. Also, if he is busy working on gross motor stuff he has no time to chat. Don't even lose a minute of sleep over this stuff, we'll take care of it as soon as you are all at home as a family. Can't wait to see you. Liz
Hi Tige and Lisa,
This is Dad's turn to comment.I understand that he likes porage. This is actually very American. If its good for Goldilocks , its good for Brody! Now, when you read him the story of the THREE BEARS he will associate with it.
I also see that he likes the tea that they feed him. What's so unusual about this? What they didn't tell you was that because Vodka is so cheap there, they probably put 2-3 drops in the tea so he sleeps better!!!!! Telly would know a little about this.Right Telly?? Also just a minor issue. Tige, baby's don't throw up. They SPIT UP. Throwing up is something you do when your hung over - you should know that. One last thing--- PEAR JUICE???? Because it says so in the"book"??? What the heck kind of book is this??And PUREED PEAS???I'd throw the book away and get a new one.If he really is attached to the pacifier, which is different then a U.S. pacifier, I would suggest you buy 200 of them for your trip back.On a serious note,Brody is indeed very cute, and both of you look very happy with him.We can't wait to see him and hold him in person.Take care of yourselves and be safe.
Hi Lisa & Tige..Brody is adorable and things will settle down and come together once you get home and have some routines without interuptions. As for the spit ups..well somethings are just.. lets say.. expected. Can't wait for you to be home with Brody. Hugs and kisses.. John&Sandy
